Apps (2009 - 2011)

Video Scheduler (OCtober 2011)

Platforms: iOS (Native), iPadOS (Native)

Key Technologies: Media Playback, Parental Controls, Accessibility

Client: Look2Learn

  • Our Contributions: App Architecture, Backend Architecture, User Interface Design, DevOps

Our first #1 app (the #1 iPad education app at its launch)! For this project, we partnered with an Autism expert to build an app for helping people with learning disabilities gain more autonomy. Through Video Scheduler, parents and educators could record step-by-step video tutorials for teaching basic life skills, modify them to fit the user’s developmental limits, and share them online with other users.

Salon Scheduling APplication (March 2011)

Platforms: iOS, Android, Web (Hybrid)

Key Technologies: Sencha Touch, Drupal, Google Maps

Client: Undisclosed

  • Our Contributions: User Interface Development, Prototype Development

We developed the web and mobile presence for this salon startup client. What made this project stand out for the client was the scheduling packages and Drupal-driven data API we built for their application (long before they were common features). Our contributions helped the client launch their company and increase their seed funding.

Retail Positioning Prototype (OCtober 2010)

Platforms: iOS (Native)

Key Technologies: CoreLocation, Bluetooth

Client: Undisclosed

  • Our Contributions: User Interface Development, Bluetooth-based Prototype Development, Product Plan Development

For our first client project, we helped a Retail Researcher develop a concept for location-based advertising within shopping malls. The basic concept was to overlay a user’s position on a map and offer location-based offers (long before beacon were common technology). Although the prototype never shipped as a product, the experience would be valuable to both us and the client in later retail and IoT projects.

Catalog+ (OCtober 2009)

Platforms: iOS (Native)

Key Technologies: Core Data (SQLite), Barcode Scanning, Address Book Integration

Our first app! We created Catalog+ to help us keep track of our inventory and found out that it was popular with our friends for keeping track of their movies, music, and games. From humble beginnings, the app found a small international following (becoming the #5 top app in italy and expanded to include direct inventory trading between users. We are planning to relaunch the app in 2020.
